The Greek "Pame Astrologia" astrological club!

THE GREEK "PAME ASTROLOGIA" ASTROLOGICAL CLUB!

A group of Greek astrologers founded on the 6th of October 2011 a private - and apparently lucrative - astrological club. The name of this club is "Pame Astrologia".

The fact that the organizers of this club did not send first AN OPEN INVITATION to all the interested parties - before creating this club - but they completed all the relative procedures among themselves and in secrecy is obliging us to classify "Pame Astrologia" as a "private astrological club"!

It is most notable the fact that among the "distinguished" members of this club we encounter the very same people that "dissolved in silence" the previous "seven members committee" - which was formed in 2009 in order to pave the way for the formation of a democratic Greek Astrological Association!

A list of the most "distinguished" members of the "Pame Astrologia" club: John Rizopoulos, Dimitris Koronakis, Evita Zachariadou, Vasia Konti, Mary Galanou, Thanasis Matsotas and Katerina Saloniki (the "Bandits" duette), John Bardopoulos.

Actually, the above mentioned persons belong to the so called Koronakis - Rizopoulos "company".

Of a lucrative nature seem to be the astrological conferences scheduled by the Greek "private astrological club" "Pame Astrologia" (to the nucleus of which we find the Koronakis clique). These people claim that the entrance ticket to their first conference (which will be held in November) is high (100 Euro's - a considerable amount to Greeks, as our country is currently sinking in a profound economical crisis) because they have to pay the conference hall and the speakers! They have booked a big conference hall and they aspire to fill it with people (and they will probably, because they command AMAZING public relations. The whole Greece - almost - has received an invitation for this event).

They will probably cash something like 30.000 Euros (a little less, after paying the expenses of the conference hall)! So, I am publicly asking the Greek astrological community: where all this money will go? To the club of "Pame Astrologia" for the benefit of Greek Astrology? Obviously not, because this club has not even established a treasury! To the speakers? Most of the speakers are old members of the Koronakis clique (like the so called "The Bandits" - "Simmoria"). In reality, they are totally inexperienced speakers - this will be the first time in their lives they will talk in an astrological conference (apart a couple of speakers I had personally invited in Astromykonos 2000). Supposedly "Pame Astrologia" is a chaste Association created to promote cultured Astrology in Greece (so they wrote on their "founding declaration"). Apparently though, it is turning into a lucrative "private club"...

Απ: The Greek "Pame Astrologia" astrological club!

The Koronakis "team" (which actually composes the core of the astrological "club" "Pame Astrologia") published on their many blogs and websites the BUDGET of their first astrological conference. The fact is that they published this budget only "a posteriori", after they were confronted with the general outcry. You can see the budget further below.

The budget for their astrological conference exceeds the astronomical - to the current Greek standards - amount of 20,000 euros! This begs the following questions:

    1) Why Koronakis and "Co." chose to make an OVER EXPENSIVE astrological conference, at a time when Greece sinks in an unprecedented economic crisis? They could have found on their own an inexpensive conference hall and (with some volunteer work from the part of their numerous "team") to have this conference done with just a small fraction of the current budget! (Please note: the conferences based on voluntary work are rather common in Greece, which actually is the poorest country in Western Europe).

    2) Why the sponsors did not cover the cost of this conference? The fact that there are sponsors (a jeweller's chain-store among them) is clearly stated in a particular page that will be given to the public at their entrance in the conference. The very cost of this page has been figured out and included in the cost of the "Pame Astrologia" conference! (See in the budget below: "Sponsors (1 page)").

    3) Some coffee and a light buffet will be offered to the conference attendees, the cost of which amounts to 9,000 euros! Those familiar with the catering bussiness know that "the wholesale" cost of some coffee, cookies and sandwiches is far lower than 9,000 Euros. Some people will earn enough money from this buffet. So, we wonder did ever the "Pame Astrologia" heads negotiated the price of this somehow mandatory buffet? Because this conference is supposed to benefit mostly Greek Astrology and not the pockets of the various merchants!

    3) Many of the conference expenses are literally unacceptable, like the 300 Euros banners (an excessive sum to current Greek financial standards)! With some volunteer work from their part, Koronakis and the numerous members of their "team" could have made those banners on their own - on their personals computers, printing them afterwards in the photocopy store of their neighborhood. They would have paid then just 30 - 50 Euros for these banners! But in reality they were not concerned at all on how to make this conference less expensive. They have contracted the conference to some "traders", whose sole purpose is - very naturally - to maximize their profits!

    4) The capacity of the "Dais" amphitheater is of 414 people. With the huge campaign the people of "Pame Astrologia" are conducting and with the AMAZING public relations they command, it is likely that the hall will be filled with people. The "Pame Astrologia" club will cash then something like 40,000 Euros. But as the budget for this conference is just 20,000 Euros the remaining 20,000 euros where will they go; It is important to know, because Dimitris Koronakis and "Co." - the people at the "core" of "Pame Astrologia" - are fervently professing that they founded the "Pame Astrologia" club in order TO ENHANCE GREEK ASTROLOGY!
