The Koronakis "team" (which actually composes the core of the astrological "club" "Pame Astrologia") published on their many blogs and websites the BUDGET of their first astrological conference. The fact is that they published this budget only "a posteriori", after they were confronted with the general outcry. You can see the budget further below.
The budget for their astrological conference exceeds the astronomical - to the current Greek standards - amount of 20,000 euros! This begs the following questions:
1) Why Koronakis and "Co." chose to make an OVER EXPENSIVE astrological conference, at a time when Greece sinks in an unprecedented economic crisis? They could have found on their own an inexpensive conference hall and (with some volunteer work from the part of their numerous "team") to have this conference done with just a small fraction of the current budget! (Please note: the conferences based on voluntary work are rather common in Greece, which actually is the poorest country in Western Europe).
2) Why the sponsors did not cover the cost of this conference? The fact that there are sponsors (a jeweller's chain-store among them) is clearly stated in a particular page that will be given to the public at their entrance in the conference. The very cost of this page has been figured out and included in the cost of the "Pame Astrologia" conference! (See in the budget below: "Sponsors (1 page)").
3) Some coffee and a light buffet will be offered to the conference attendees, the cost of which amounts to 9,000 euros! Those familiar with the catering bussiness know that "the wholesale" cost of some coffee, cookies and sandwiches is far lower than 9,000 Euros. Some people will earn enough money from this buffet. So, we wonder did ever the "Pame Astrologia" heads negotiated the price of this somehow mandatory buffet? Because this conference is supposed to benefit mostly Greek Astrology and not the pockets of the various merchants!
3) Many of the conference expenses are literally unacceptable, like the 300 Euros banners (an excessive sum to current Greek financial standards)! With some volunteer work from their part, Koronakis and the numerous members of their "team" could have made those banners on their own - on their personals computers, printing them afterwards in the photocopy store of their neighborhood. They would have paid then just 30 - 50 Euros for these banners! But in reality they were not concerned at all on how to make this conference less expensive. They have contracted the conference to some "traders", whose sole purpose is - very naturally - to maximize their profits!
4) The capacity of the "Dais" amphitheater is of 414 people. With the huge campaign the people of "Pame Astrologia" are conducting and with the AMAZING public relations they command, it is likely that the hall will be filled with people. The "Pame Astrologia" club will cash then something like 40,000 Euros. But as the budget for this conference is just 20,000 Euros the remaining 20,000 euros where will they go; It is important to know, because Dimitris Koronakis and "Co." - the people at the "core" of "Pame Astrologia" - are fervently professing that they founded the "Pame Astrologia" club in order TO ENHANCE GREEK ASTROLOGY!
